Interactive Birthday Card ft. Concord &9th snowflakes turnabout and Heroarts Ornate Carousel stamp

Even during this busy season, a birthday is a birthday. So here I’ve made a quick (maybe not so quick) card for a birthday girl.

I’ve painted this watercolor paper with pink, yellow and purple. It’s been here for so long, that I forgot how (and not to mention what color I’ve used) I made this paper.

Anyhow, I think this paper pairs perfectly with the Concord &9th snowflake turnabout. Therefore, I stamp heat embossed with 4 different embossing powder, which areranger princess gold embossing powder, hero arts white detail embossing powder, wow cha cha cha embossing powder and Ranger enchanted gold embossing powder (discontinued).

I then cut the panel into standard card size. On the other hand, I’ve stamped the carousel image fromHeroart’s Ornate Carousel stamp with versafine onyx black ink, I have chosen the unicorn as this card should be magical. I would need a magical creature, wouldn’t I ?

After stamping the image, I colored in with Finetec Inca Gold, Finetec Unicorn, heroart red royal and heroart cup o’Joe.

I’ve think of a long time how to structure the card. And I think that the carousel looks much better in the middle, but the problem is that I have nowhere to put the sentiment.

Inspired by some interactive card idea, I decided to make a flip up card using sss stitched rectangle die and partial die cutting. I scored the flip up panel at the top. Then I use a EK success 1 inch round punch to punch a knot and wrote “Flip Up” to indicate.

I finally stamped “Have a Magical Day” inside with versafine onyx black ink and heat emboss with cha cha cha embossing powder.

This is one card that I hesitate sending out because I liked it so much. I hope the person who recieve the card would like it as much as I do.
