Christmas Card Making – Day 7

Continue with Tim Holtz ‘s holiday series, I am using this Tim Holtz Stamptember Exclusive Cling Rubber Stamps and Stencil.

First, I used tea dye distress oxide ink to dye some watercolor paper and make it vintage water stained looking. Then, I used the music score strip of the stamp set to add some interest to the background.

Afterwards, I’ve stamped a corner of the Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps 2018 Glorious Gathering with Grid on the left bottom corner with some Jet Black Archival ink and colored in with some water based marker.

The card is still a bit empty to me. Therefore I’ve sponge in with the mint candy strip stencil (which is also in the exclusive set) some hero art red royal ink and nest ink. I intentionally leaving the stenciling uneven, to give it some organic weathered down atmosphere.

Last of all, I’ve used the sentiment from the same exclusive set and stamped also with black archival ink.

This is a simple yet very detailed piece. I loved the mix of vintage yet contemporary element on this card. Hope you enjoy this card as much as I do.
