Christmas Card Making – Day 6

Entering Day 6 of the Christmas Card making, I have change path and uses Tim Holtz’s 2018 Christmas series and the SSS Stamptember Tim Holtz’s exclusive for a change of taste.

This whole panel was created by just 2 stamps of the Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps 2018 Winter Watercolor CMS354, the pine bough and the centerpiece of the poinsettia, which I used as berries. The sentiment was from another Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamp set, which is called December Doodles CMS355.

I colored the stamp with Tombow Dual Brush Pens, which is a water based marker, and repeated stamping to create a bigger pine bough. Then I stamped down the berries to make it more festive. Then, I watered down some light blue color to give it a bright blue sky. If I have planned ahead, I’d have created the background first. But I think the outcome is still acceptable. So I’ve kept it like this.

Finally, I stamped the sentiments using Altenew’s pure graphite ink, so to match the soft water colored piece.

I’ve had a lot of fun creating this card, and since I am not an artist, it is just so miraculous to have such a beautiful piece with just 2 stamps. This reminds me :Simplicity is beauty, isn’t it?
