Christmas Card Making – Day 4

I am always a big fans of PTI’s Make It Market Holiday Kit. Before this year’s holiday kit arrived (as I am in Hong Kong, it usually takes me an extra 2 weeks time to get on hold of any new releases 😦 ), I’ve decided to make use of PTI’s Make It Market Kit 2017 – Wonderland to create a Christmas Card dual.

I have been thinking hard on how to use the borders that have been released this year. Actually I’ve brought all of the borders released and have been wondering how I can make use of it. Therefore I am suggesting 2 ways to use it which you may also be interested.

Let’s start with the more muted one first (which is a color scheme that I really like for this year). First, I have partially die cut a kraft cardstock twice, so that it separates the kraft cardstock in 2 halves.

Then I stamped the stamp with a color scheme as below : PTI’s Simply Chartreuse, Ripe Avocado, Melon Berry, Autumn Rose, and Americana. I white heat embossed the sentiment on a vellum paper using Hero Arts Ultra Fine Powder White. Then glue the stamped pieces onto the vellum and mounted the piece onto white card base. The sentiment was from Lawn Fawn Merry Message stamps.

The bright one was created with a distressed oxide centerpiece. I used Salty Ocean and Mermaid Lagoon to smoosh onto a piece of paper and die cut it with Stitch In Time Borders Die, then I gold embossed the Border with the pair stamp set with Ranger’s princess gold embossing powder . The sentiment was chosen from PTI’s Pen & Ink: Christmas Stamp set withVersafine Onyx Black Ink.

The color scheme I’ve chosen for this card is Berry Sobert, Green Parakeet, Pine Feather, Pale Peony, Pure Poppy and TerraCotta Tile and I’ve stamped the isolated piece a several times instead of stamping the borders. I have cut the pieces in two and stick around the centerpiece from the back. I also stamped the individual flower and greenery images to decorate the corners.

I will come up with another card in a few day’s time. See you soon.
