Christmas Card making – Day 1

I usually start making Christmas Card early. Christmas makes me happy, it is my most beloved season. I also like to explore what we can make out of all those new and old products we bought all through the years.

This is one of the very first cards I made this year, and I planned to go non-traditional.

The background panel was made using #PTI Blueberry Sky and Spring Rain ink. I smoosh the ink onto #Tim Holtz white craft mat, sprayed with water and smoosh a white Bristol card stock on it. I continue to do that a several times to get the water stained effect. Then I cut it out using my#SSS Stitched Rectangles waffer dies.

Then I used #PIT Bluberry Sky, #PTI Enchanted Evening, and#PTI Smokey Shadow, ink to stamp the baubles from the #Essentials by Ellen Fat Pants stamp set. The embellishment on the baubles was stamped using #Versamark inkand #SSS Rose Gold Embossing Powder. The tops of the baubles were stamped directly on top of the image using #Versamark Ink and #HeroArts Silver embossing powder. I fussy cut the images and mounted them on top of my panel with foam tape.

I stamped by sentiment from #Lawn Fawn Merry Measages Clear stamps on a piece of vellum and embossed it with White. I run a little of dot adhesive tape behind the words and stick it right in front the baubles. The entire panel was then mounted on Kraft cardstock.

This year, I am in love with muted colors. Therefore, I will show a few more cards with muted colors in the next few Christmas series. I wish that you’d love the muted color tone as well.
